Product overview
ZEELCHEM™ 3000 is a copolymer of maleic acid and acrylic acid (MA/AA). It combines the high-temperature carbonate inhibition of maleic units with the dispersing power of acrylic units, giving one product that both inhibits scale and keeps particles dispersed in hard, high-pH water.
The copolymer tolerates high calcium hardness and high alkalinity and performs well at the elevated temperatures found on heat-exchanger skin surfaces. It is used alone or with organophosphonates in alkaline cooling water, boiler internal treatment and oilfield programmes.
In detergents, MA/AA is a well-established co-builder: it sequesters hardness ions, inhibits encrustation on fabrics and machine parts, and prevents redeposition of soil, especially in phosphate-free powder and liquid formulations.

Dosage & method of use
1 – 15 mg/L in cooling water as a scale inhibitor and dispersant. In detergents, 1 – 5 % of the formulation (as supplied) is common. Adjust to water analysis and performance targets.
Dosing calculator
Estimates only. Evaporation is calculated as E = 0.00153 × R × ΔT (°C); blowdown B = E ÷ (COC − 1); product feed for cooling towers = B × dose. The right dose depends on your water analysis, metallurgy and operating conditions. Our technical team will confirm it free of charge.
Packaging
60.0 kg net HDPE carboy. Each carboy is labelled with product name, batch number, net weight and GHS hazard information.
Storage & shelf life
Store in closed HDPE containers in a cool, shaded, ventilated area between 5 °C and 40 °C. Avoid freezing and direct sunlight; mix gently before use if slight stratification is seen. Shelf life: 12 months in unopened packing.
Handling & safety
Mildly acidic polymer solution. Use goggles and gloves; avoid contact with eyes and prolonged skin contact. Rinse spills with water. Refer to the ZEELCHEM™ SDS (GHS format) before handling.
