Product overview

ZEELCHEM™ 1000.Z7 is the neutralised sodium salt of low-molecular-weight polyacrylic acid, supplied as a 40 % solution at near-neutral pH. It is a highly efficient anionic dispersant that lowers slurry viscosity, prevents settling and inhibits scale, without the acidity of the free-acid polymer.

The neutral pH makes ZEELCHEM™ 1000.Z7 easy to add to pigment slurries, detergent bases and process water without adjusting pH. It adsorbs on particle surfaces and builds electrostatic repulsion, which allows high-solids grinding of calcium carbonate, kaolin, titanium dioxide and other minerals.

In water treatment it acts as a scale inhibitor and dispersant for cooling, boiler and process water where an acidic polymer is not desired, and in detergents it works as a co-builder and anti-redeposition agent.

Typical dose range

Estimates only. Evaporation is calculated as E = 0.00153 × R × ΔT (°C); blowdown B = E ÷ (COC − 1); product feed for cooling towers = B × dose. The right dose depends on your water analysis, metallurgy and operating conditions. Our technical team will confirm it free of charge.

Packaging

60.0 kg net HDPE carboy. Each carboy is labelled with product name, batch number, net weight and GHS hazard information.

Storage & shelf life

Store in closed HDPE containers in a cool, shaded, ventilated area between 5 °C and 40 °C. Avoid freezing and direct sunlight; mix gently before use if slight stratification is seen. Shelf life: 12 months in unopened packing.

Handling & safety

Near-neutral polymer solution with low hazard. Use goggles and gloves, avoid eye contact and rinse spills with water. Refer to the ZEELCHEM™ SDS before handling.

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between ZEELCHEM™ 1000 and 1000.Z7?

ZEELCHEM™ 1000 is acidic polyacrylic acid (pH 2–3); 1000.Z7 is its neutralised sodium salt at pH 6–8, preferred for pigment slurries and detergents.

Is sodium polyacrylate liquid used for calcium carbonate grinding?

Yes. It is a standard grinding and dispersing aid for high-solids calcium carbonate and kaolin slurries.

Can molecular weight be customised?

Yes. Grades tailored to specific slurry or detergent applications can be supplied on request.
